Phobophobes are another of South London’s shining lights on ‘Where Is My Owner?’

The new single also comes with some pretty amazing/creepy artwork…

The scene bubbling up around South London right now has been heavily documented, and Phobophobes have arrived to take up their crown.

Instrumental in the creation of said scene, and putting on their first gigs along with the likes of Shame, Goat Girl and the Fat White Family, their progression since has been a quieter one, but still extremely exciting.

New single ‘Where Is My Owner?’ serves only to amp up their progress, a goth-inspired creep through back streets, memories of The Horrors’ debut ‘Strange House’ coming flooding back.

The track’s artwork also has quite a story. The band were invited to Abbey Road Studios to record with Ken Scott (Bowie, John Lennon, etc), the band took swabs of a microphone used by said musical legends, and let the bacteria grow in petri dishes, The results have now become the band’s undeniably brilliant but slightly stomach-churning artwork.
