Phoenix Set For 2013 Live Return
The French band will play Germany’s Rock AM Ring and are reportedly set to follow-up 2009’s ‘Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix’ with a new album in April.
January 2013 seems to be the month for announcing unexpected comebacks: David Bowie, Destiny’s Child, Justin Timberlake, and, perhaps slightly less surprisigly but still very much enjoyably, now Phoenix.
The French four-piece have announced details of their first live show in two years this July and, as previously reported, are also believed to be set to release a new album in April.
They’re only confirmed live dates thus far are at Germany’s Rock am Ring & Rock im Park festivals in Nürburgring and Nürnberg - as noted by Consequence of Sound.
As previously reported, the band also look set to release their fifth album - the folow-up to 2009’s ‘Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix’ - in April through Glassnote Records.
We’ll bring you updates as on any new live shows or album details as we get them. In the mean time, check out the video for ‘Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix’ stand-out track ‘Lisztomania’ below.
