Phoenix team up with Bill Murray for ‘Alone On Christmas Day’ cover

Today in ‘alright then, sure’ news, Phoenix have teamed up with Bill Murray for a cover of The Beach Boys’ festive number, ‘Alone On Christmas Day’.

It’s taken from Bill Murray’s Netflix exclusive Christmas special, A Very Murray Christmas (10/10 punning), which is directed by Sofia Coopla, who’s married to Phoenix frontman Thomas Mars. Happy families all round. Stream it below.

The track was premiered on Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 show last night, during which Phoenix confirmed that they’re in the studio, working on a follow-up to 2013’s ‘Bankrupt!’, so even if you’re a scrooge, there’s still something to look forward to.
