Pixies Set Up ‘Indie Cindy’ Album Art Contest For Fans

Instead of getting Black Francis to paint his face and press it into a giant piece of paper and sell it for squillions, Pixies have turned to fans to help create accompanying art for their new album ‘Indie Cindy’.

Fans are being prompted with the chance to win a cash prize of $500 and an autographed copy of the winning design. Entries need to stick to the following specifics:
- 11” X 17” (279mm x 432mm) measurements.
- Use the Pixies logo.
- Mention the ‘Indie Cindy’ album title.

The winning entrant will see their art given out alongside bonus editions of the new Pixies album at independent record stores.

Anyone stuck for ideas should follow our concise instructions:

- Try to avoid Photoshopping Kim Deal or any other former member of the band.
- When referring to the album title, do not refer to ‘I’m Amy and I’m an indie’.
- Cats are always preferable.
