Ticket-buyers demand refunds after Victoria Warehouse show.

PJ Harvey fans complain about overcrowded Manchester show

Manchester venue the Victoria Warehouse has been accused of ‘overselling’ tickets for a PJ Harvey show earlier this week.

Fans of the Mercury Prize-winner complained that they were unable to access the venue’s main room to see the star perform, instead being stuck by the bar, reports M.E.N. One ticket-buyer described the show as “massively oversold” on Twitter.

Victoria Warehouse has yet to respond to accusations that the show was above capacity. However, earlier this week it fielded similar claims of overcrowding at a 29th October John Carpenter show. “The Victoria Warehouse would like to assure all attendees that ticket sales for the evening matched the permitted room capacity where the event was held. The safety of our customers and staff is taken very seriously, and as such, would not be jeopardised under any circumstance ,” it stated on Facebook.

Promoters SJM Concerts have been approached for comment.
