PJ Harvey shares a new track in the trailer for ‘Dark River’
She’s contributed music to the new thriller.

PJ Harvey is contributing music to new film ‘Dark River’, an upcoming thriller from director Clio Barnard (who’s also helmed ‘The Arbor’ and ‘The Selfish Giant’).
Now there’s a new trailer for the movie, and it features one of the tunes that Polly Jean has contributed. The song is intimate, as well as being folk-inflected, gradually building up as the trailer also reaches a climactic peak.
The film itself stars Ruth Wilson and Mark Stanley and is set in rural England. In it, a pair of estranged siblings are reunited after their father’s death, but their time is quickly marred by a dispute over inheritance.
PJ Harvey’s last released track was ‘The Camp’, a collaboration with Ramy Essam that raised awareness and support for the displaced children of Lebanon’s Bekaa Valey.
