PJ Harvey offers up first taste of new album, coming Spring 2016
The musician has given fans a first, short-but-sweet glimpse of her ‘Let England Shake’ follow-up.
It’s no secret that PJ Harvey has been working on a new album for some time - after all, she invited fans to watch her record at her ‘Recording in Progress’ exhibition at the start of this year - but now, she’s offered up a first glimpse into it.
Posting a new video clip, the British singer-songwriter has given fans a brief but satisfying taste of her follow-up to 2011’s ‘Let England Shake’.
That’s not all: the 28-second clip, which comes directed by Seamus Murphy and sees the musician both recording guitar and vocal takes and appearing ominously in amongst deserted ruins, also gives a rough release date for her ninth full-length - Spring 2016.
The announcement of her new album follows on from the news that Harvey will also be playing a handful of festivals in 2016, including London’s Field Day and Roskilde.
