Polaris Music Prize Partners Up With Rough Trade East
The winner of the award will be announced on Monday 19th September.

The award for the best Canadian album released between 1st June 2010 and 31st May 2011 was voted for by a jury of 213 music journalists, broadcasters and bloggers from across Canada.
Making this year’s list are Arcade Fire, Austra, Braids, Destroyer, Galaxie, Hey Rosetta!, Ron Sexsmith, Colin Stetson, Timber Timbre and The Weeknd.
Of the list, only Arcade Fire and Hey Rosetta! have made the final ten before, with three of the records (Austra, Braids and The Weeknd) debuts.
Nine out of the ten albums will be featured exclusively at Rough Trade East in London, together with a branded listening post, throughout September. Each purchase of a Short Listed album will also make you eligible to receive an exclusive, limited edition Polaris 7”, given out exclusively at Rough Trade East.
