Poppy returns with new single ‘Church Outfit’

Poppy has returned with a brand new single, titled ‘Church Outfit’. Watch the video below. It is the first new music from the Los Angeles-based musician since 2022’s ‘Stagger’ EP. Since then, she has played a sold-out headline show in London and completed a tour supporting The Smashing Pumpkins. Referring to the new material, Poppy has said, “It’s an artist’s responsibility to always change. I don’t think I’d want to be in my body if I was repeating the same thing over and over again. I’m only competing with myself. I will continue to write the story until I get tired of the book. Then, I’ll write another one.” Poppy rose to prominence as a YouTuber in the mid-2010s, and in 2021 she won a Grammy Award for Best Metal Performance for her single ‘Bloodmoney’, taken from her third album, ‘I Disagree’. She followed up that album with ‘Flux’ in 2021, and has just re-signed with Sumerian Records, the same label that released those last two records.
