Premiere: Watch: Chela Unveils ‘ZERO’ Video

Given the amount of attention gravitating towards Chela right now, it’d be easy to assume there’s more than one of the Australian pop prospect milling around. Has she cloned herself? Is this how you explain the flawless output she’s arrived with so far?

A new video for ‘ZERO’ - the lead, title-track from an EP of the same name (out now on iTunes) - solves the mystery. There are indeed an awful lot of Chela’s. They all have a knack for dressing in 90s rave gear and busting moves in devilish unison. Most of the video plays out like a club scenario turned inside out, where casual characters get replaced with the cast of a horror movie. Smoke gets in the eyes, laser pyrotechnics split open the sense. Retro-fused to boot, it gives the best insight yet into the madness behind Chela’s brilliant craft.
