Neu Pick Public Practice are funky and brilliantly sardonic on ‘Foundation’
The NYC band’s debut EP ‘Distance Is A Mirror’ is out next month on Wharf Cat Records.
Every weekday, DIY’s new music know-it-all Neu brings you one essential new release to get obsessed with. Today’s Neu Pick comes from Public Practice.
NYC’s Public Practice - who boast members of the extremely exciting and recently disbanded WALL - are releasing their debut EP ‘Distance Is A Mirror’ next month via Wharf Cat Records.
The record was announced along with new track ‘Fate/Glory’ last month, a brilliantly danceable slab of jaunty funk-punk.
It’s now been followed up by ‘Foundation’, which takes this…um, foundation, and builds even more excitement on top. The beats are even funkier and more groove-led, the vocals are even more sardonic and cutting, and the guitars slice through with more potency.
‘Distance Is A Mirror’ is out on 26th October via Wharf Cat Records.
Listen to ‘Foundation’ below.
