Raury lights a flame for ‘Cigarette Song’ video
17 year old singer-songwriter likes to watch things burn in his latest clip.
‘Cigarette Song’ by 17 year old newcomer Raury is one big conundrum. It mixes acoustic strumming with wedding bells, thumping percussion with shameless saw-toothed solos. Fortunately the video is a little more straight-down-the-line. Straights are lit, torsos are bared, and lighters are held up to the air.
Spare a thought for Raury’s tree house, though. The poor thing ends lit in flames, the musician only sparing his acoustic guitar.
‘Cigarette Song’ is taken from Raury’s forthcoming EP ‘Indigo Child’. He’s also set to feature on the forthcoming SBTRKT album (in a track called ‘Higher’).
