Raury shares new track ‘Devil’s Whisper’
It’s the hellish, spiky-edged counterpart to debut mixtape standout song ‘God’s Whisper’.
DIY Class of star Raury has released a new track, ‘Devil’s Whisper’. It’s the hellish, twisted counterpart to ‘God’s Whisper’ - a stand-out track from the Atlanta musician’s 2014 debut release ‘Indigo Child’.
‘Devil’s Whisper’ picks out the same trance-like incantations, but instead of singing “I hear God’s whisper, calling my name,” Raury sings “you better run,” over stomping drums and flailing guitars that try to keep up with the urgent pace. “Everything you touch can be golden,” tempts Raury, “but first you gotta listen to me.” Eventually the devil’s true colours start to show, and a boast-heavy rap takes down everyone from lame instagram users to shit-talkers.
Raury returns to the UK next month for a one off show at London’s Village Underground, before heading out on the festival circuit. His tour dates are as follows:
JUL
13 Village Underground, London
15 Melkweg, Amsterdam
16 Dour Festival, Belgium
17 Melt Festival, Germany
18 Lovebox Festival, UK
19 Longitude Festival, Ireland
