Reading 2013: Editors: “It’s Been Such A Good Summer”
Tom and Russell from the band discuss their Leeds set and the effects of a new line-up.

’ Tom Smith and Russell Leetch have arrived from the mud-swept Leeds Fest to play a main stage performance later this afternoon.
Their 2013 R&L experience involves getting their heads around the sheer jealousy-inducing youth of your average punter these days: ‘We were talking about our set after Leeds’, said Tom. ‘And we were saying that we’re playing to people at uni. And thought, ‘Actually, hang on, that was eight years ago.’ Some of these kids were eight [back then]!’
They’re successfully adapting to recent line-up changes, put together for their ‘The Weight Of Your Love’ album: ‘It’s a new band for us, so it’s new for the audience to have two different faces on stage. The old songs feel a bit fresher, and obviously there’s new songs as well.’
Editors play Reading Fest’s Main Stage at 16.20. Read DIY’s live blog here.
