Ride unveil video for ‘Cali’
The track features on the returning shoegazers’ new album, ‘Weather Diaries’.
Ride have shared a video for their track, ‘Cali’.
The song is taken from the band’s latest album, ‘Weather Diaries’, released back in June.
“’Cali’ is a love song which features imagery of California and the ocean, so a video which features a surfing couple was the perfect fit,” says the band’s Andy Bell. “What I love about the video is that it avoids some of the surf film / retro cliches and stays with a contemporary kind of look. The psychedelic nature of the editing is more in line with the Vaporwave aesthetic than 60’s psychedelia. What Niall Trask has come up with got an immediate thumbs up from the entire band and is my favourite Ride video to date”
The band tour the UK in November.
