Rihanna is still working on ‘Anti’, according to Sia

Fans waiting for Rihanna’s new ‘Anti’ album - opening those #antidiary doors like each one could reveal the full-length - will have to wait a little longer.

According to Sia, RiRi was still working on the album as recently as last week. ‘Anti’ was initially given a speculative 4th December release, with a proposed Tidal exclusive to arrive before.

But speaking to Jo Whiley on BBC Radio 2, Sia revealed that she’d played Rihanna four new songs, as reports NME. “The other night she came over and listened to half of 25 songs I played her because she’s still looking for songs for her new album,” she said, adding: “She was there to listen to songs and see if there was anything that she was into,” Sia added. “It was a business meeting for sure. She took four [songs] but I don’t know if they’ll end up [on the album].”

Sia wrote Rihanna’s 2012 hit ‘Diamonds’, but her new ‘Alive’ track was rejected by the star. It’s wound up on ‘This Is Acting’, a new Sia release that compiles songs she’d initially written for other acts.
