Watch Cat Power cover Rihanna’s ‘Stay’

Having announced back in July the release of tenth studio album ‘Wanderer’ - it’s out 5th October - Cat Power has today shared her cover of Rihanna’s hit single ‘Stay’.

I love the tradition of covering songs”, she says. “I think it’s one of the highest compliments you can pay another artist. It’s one of the great traditions in American music and one of the true pleasures of music history.”

The performance was filmed in an LA studio, the home of producer Rob Schnapf, who mixed ‘Wanderer’. It was filmed by long-time Cat Power collaborator, Greg Hunt.

Cat Power plays London’s Roundhouse on 23rd October. Tickets are on sale now.
