Run the Jewels kidnap Santa for festive skit
They swung by Late Show With Stephen Colbert for ‘Jingle Jingle (Santa Party)’.
After kickstarting DIY’s year by fronting our February issue right at the beginning of 2017, it’s fitting that Run the Jewels have now provided us with the biggest festive treat of the season.
Swinging by Late Night With Stephen Colbert to ruin the wholesome festive fun, El-P and Killer Mike’s new skit ‘Jing Jingle (Santa Party) sees the twosome kidnapping Santa, calling him “my bitch”, and getting political about the categorically awful year we’ve just had as a whole.
“White kids getting presents, black kids getting cuffed,” raps Killer Mike, with El-P also weighing in: “pick up a brick, put your eggnog down/Your country’s being run by an orange fucking clown.”
