Run the Jewels’ ‘Meow the Jewels’ to feature Geoff Barrow, Zola Jesus & more

A Kickstarter aiming to get El-P and Killer Mike to re-produced their ‘RTJ2’ Run the Jewels album using cat sounds (‘Meow the Jewels’) has raised $26,000 of its $45,100 goal, meaning this batshit idea might actually happen very soon.

The wheels are in motion so much already that El-P’s announced a list of artists who’ve agreed to contribute to the release, if the Kickstarter gets funded.

Twelve names have been confirmed: Geoff Barrow from Portishead, Zola Jesus, Baauer, Boots, Just Blaze, Dan the Automator, the Alchemist, Prince Paul, Nick Hook, Skywlkr and Soldified Sun.

El-P confirmed the guests in an Instagram post.

There are 19 remaining days in order to fund this noble cause.

‘RTJ2’ is out worldwide as a free download on 27th October.
