Run The Jewels preview snippet from ‘Meow The Jewels’
‘Angelmeowster’ comes from El-P and Killer Mike’s charity cat remix album.
El-P has shared a snippet from Run The Jewels’ upcoming charity cat remix album ‘Meow The Jewels’.
The project was originally up for grabs on the duo’s website, on sale for $40,000. It became reality after fans fundraised the entire total on Kickstarter, and Killer Mike and El-P will donate profits to a charity directly benefiting the families of Eric Garner and Mike Brown.
El-P shared a snippet from ‘Angelmeowster’ - the catty take on RTJ2 track ‘Angel Duster’ - on his Instagram account. The track was produced by Dan the Automator. “Making a cat sound album for charity has a cost,” joked El-P on his twitter. “Namely, that its an album of cat sounds. YOU MADE US DO THIS.”
