Run the Jewels tease RTJ3 update

Run the Jewels have posted another update from the studio, posting a short snippet of new music on El-P’s Instagram account.

“Just posted that so you don’t think we aren’t working,” El quipped on Twitter. The clip shows a preview of an absolutely massive sounding new track, which features the choice lyric “I got a unicorn horn for a cock.”

Back in March Run the Jewels said that ‘RTJ3’ is halfway done, with El-P saying “the goal of a 2016 release is achievable.” They’ve also shared various other teasers from the studio along the way.

In a chat with us last year, Killer Mike confirmed that - like all previous RTJ albums - their third will be completely free. “It cuts out the marketing meeting to try to do people into buying a record that’s already leaked,” he said. “That relationship works really well for us and our audience. We can’t tell you that’s the secret for everybody music, but it looks like it worked for us.”
