Sam Fender and Olivia Dean join forces for new single ‘Rein Me In’
The pair have collaborated on a re-release of the song, which first featured on Sam’s recent album ‘People Watching’.

Sam Fender has collaborated with Olivia Dean on his song ‘Rein Me In’. The pair have recorded a new version of the track, which features on his most recent number one album, ‘People Watching’.
The pair came together to perform the track at London Stadium earlier this month to 80,000 fans; it was such a hit that they then played it twice at Newcastle’s St. James’ Park.
Olivia has written a new verse for the song, which she sings before the pair harmonise on the chorus. “If I collaborate with another artist on one of my songs, I prefer they write a new part and make it their own, rather than singing whatever I’ve already written,” says Sam on the collaboration.
“Olivia added a female perspective to ‘Rein Me In’, and I think it’s all the better for it. Sharing the stage with her over these last few stadium shows has been a joy. I can’t wait for people to have it,” he added.
Olivia was apparently a fan of the song before they recorded it together. “‘Rein Me In’ is my favourite song on Sam’s album, so it was a pleasure to write a new verse from a female perspective,” she explained. “I’ve been a fan of Sam’s for a while now, so I’m so pleased we got to work together on this duet.”
You can watch the track’s official video - featuring footage from those London and Newcastle performances - below.
Sam Fender will play NOS Alive Festival, which takes place from 10th-12th July 2025 in Lisbon, Portugal. Find out more and get tickets at nosalive.com.
