Savages say they’re working on a “beast of a record”
Group are in the studio working on the follow-up to ’Silence Yourself’.

Savages have been speaking about their upcoming new album, stating during an interview that they’re soon to share a “hard, heavy, beast of a record”.
Singer Jehnny Beth told SPIN that the as-yet-untitled album is due out “sometime later this year or very early next”, stating that compared to 2013 debut ‘Silence Yourself’, fans should expect something different.
“When we finished touring, there were a series of different things we wanted to try,” she says. “I knew I wanted to have different intentions behind it. After touring for two years meeting different people, you compile things. I wanted to use different kinds of positive words and negative words about how power interacts, sexual connotations as well, and abstract things.”
As reported in April, Savages shared track titles of their new album, including ‘Adore’, which the group showcased at a series of New York shows in January. Read more here and watch footage of Savages perform ‘Adore’ below. Their next UK date is on DIY’s Shacklewell Arms Stage at Field Day 2015.
Savages will play Field Day (6th-7th June) and Latitude (16th-19th July), where DIY is an official media partner. Tickets are on sale now. Visit diymag.com/presents for more information.
