Take your mama out!
Scissor Sisters return for huge 2025 UK tour
Jake Shears, Babydaddy and Del Marquis are reuniting for the band’s first live shows together in over 12 years.

The reunions just keep coming thick and fast this year! New York glam icons Scissor Sisters have confirmed that they’ll be reuniting for a huge UK tour next year, to mark the 20th anniversary of their iconic self-titled debut.
Set to celebrate the release of their 2004 debut smash - which boasted bangers such as ‘Laura’, ‘Take Your Mama’ and ‘Filthy/Gorgeous’ - the tour will see original members Jake Shears, Babydaddy and Del Marquis reunite for what’s set to be the band’s first shows together in over 12 years, after the group went on an indefinite hiatus in 2012. “It’s the 20th anniversary of our debut album, so it really feels like the right time to revisit all the intense excitement of that moment,” Jake has said, of the news. “I think the impetus for this reunion was really a YouTube screening of Scissor Sisters: Live at The O2 that happened during lockdown. I don’t think I’d seen that show since it was filmed in 2007, but we were all kind of surprised by how great it was. And chatting with fans during the screening really brought back what a special moment it was for all of us.”
What you may be notice, however, is that co-vocalist Ana Matronic won’t be involved in this run, with the self-dubbed Mistress of Ceremonies sitting it out to focus on other projects. “We’ve spent a lot of time collectively thinking about what we can add to our show that isn’t a ‘replacement’ for Ana in any way,” Del has said, in a press release. “She’s part of the spirit of this band and we want to honour that.”
The band are scheduled to play ten arena shows across the UK next May, with tickets set to go on pre-sale from Wednesday 6th November, and general sale as of 9am on Friday 8th November. Check out the tour dates below, and get your feather boas at the ready.
