The war of selfies
Selfie sticks banned from two festivals
Coachella and Lollapalooza join the list of events saying no to selfie sticks.

This summer’s festivals are all about one war. No, not The War On Drugs; the war on selfie sticks.
Following bans on last Christmas’ ‘must have’ gift from many UK venues and sporting events earlier this year, they’ve now been given a thumbs down by both Coachella and Lollapalooza.
Lollapalooza’s FAQ highlights a band on ”GoPro attachments like sticks, selfie sticks & monopods”, while Coachella’s calls it as it sees it, banning both “Selfie sticks” and “narcisists.” (We assume bands are exempt? - Ed)
Meanwhile, in the UK, the O2 Arena specifies: “The O2 do not allow selfie sticks into the arena due to safety considerations. We welcome selfies, but please leave the stick at home.”
Featuring Yard Act, Death Cab For Cutie, Graham Coxon, Maisie Peters and more.
