Shabazz Palaces have remixed Adult Jazz’s ‘Springful’

Both bands have a habit of pushing boundaries, but this is still a turn up for the books. Adult Jazz have had their ‘Springful’ single remixed by Ishmael Butler and Shabazz Palaces. Here, an already deceiving, topsy turvy track (made up of fluttering acoustics) is given an even rawer left field edge. It’s not for the faint hearted.

On their edit, Shabazz Palaces begin by looping Harry Burgess’ vocals into odd extremes. Midway through, an ominous tension gives way to an easeful guitar line, like something out of a Hawaiian wedding. It’s an anything goes, rulebook-flipping remix - listen below.
