Shabazz Palaces get glitchy in the video for ‘Welcome To Quazarz’
They’ve also announced a huge European tour!
Today, experimental hip hop duo Shabazz Palaces have released not one but two albums: ‘Quazarz: Born On A Gangster Star’ and ‘Quazarz vs. The Jealous Machines’.
Want to know where to start with that mega collection? How about a video that’s literally an introduction to their new world (or the “Migosphere” as they would have it). Directed by artist Nep Sidhu, ‘Welcome To Quazarz’ is a trip into a glitch-ridden, fuzzy rabbit hole that contains colour-filtered images and a whole load of CGI imagery. It’s definitely a good way to get acquainted with their cosmic adventurer as he enters “Drake world”.
As well as releasing the video, Shabazz Palaces have also announced a big old European tour for October and November, and you can see all of the announced dates here. As part of the trip they’ll be heading to the UK, coming to London, Manchester and Glasgow. Tickets are on sale now.
