Sia performs ‘Alive’ and ‘Bird Set Free’ on Saturday Night Live

Sia appeared on Saturday Night Live this weekend to perform new songs ‘Alive’ and ‘Bird Set Free’. Both tracks are taken from her upcoming album ‘This Is Acting,’ out on 29th January. The album is made up of songs Sia originally wrote for other artists; ‘Alive’ being a song she wrote with Adele and Tobias Jesso Jr. during sessions for ‘25’.

Her SNL performance was characteristically concept heavy. With her face hidden beneath a black and white fringe, a single contemporary dancer pulled out the martial arts thread of the ‘Alive’ video, and dances around behind Sia, giving her extra limbs. Unfortunately Donald Trump was the guest host of the show that night, but you can’t have it all, can you?
