Slipknot to headline first night of Download 2015
Judas Priest, Black Stone Cherry and Five Finger Death Punch are also playing the Friday of the festival.
Download festival has announced the first bands for 2015, with Slipknot set to headline the first day on Friday 12th June.
Judas Priest will support on the main stage, while Black Stone Cherry will headline the second stage. Five Finger Death Punch have also been announced.
Speaking of their headline appearance, Slipknot’s Corey Taylor said: “Being invited back to Download always feels like coming home. Headlining Download, for the 3rd time, feels like the culmination of a life’s dream. It’s an honor, a privilege and we’re all looking forward to it.”

Download 2015 will take place between 12th-14th June at Donington Park. Tickets go on sale this Thursday (20th November) at 9am.
Other bands rumoured to be playing this year’s event include Muse, Kiss, Faith No More and A Day To Remember. Another announcement is set for tomorrow morning.
