Slipknot's Mick Thomson charged after knife fight

Earlier this month, Slipknot’s guitarist Mick Thomson was taken to hospital with a stab wound to the head, after an alleged knife fight with his younger brother. Now, police have confirmed that both the guitarist and his brother have been charged with disorderly conduct by fighting.

Just over a week ago, the 41 year old guitarist and his sibling Andrew were reportedly driven to their local hospital in separate ambulances after sustaining injuries in the altercation, which took place in the garden of the guitarist’s residence in Clive, Iowa. Police were called to the guitarist’s house early on Wednesday 11th March morning after reports of the fight and found that the pair were both intoxicated, but neither of their injuries were life-threatening.

Now, according to NME, the Clive Police Department Chief Michael Venema has confirmed that both brothers are being held responsible, and therefore, have both been charged with the above. A court date has also been set, according to The Hollywood Reporter, for 30th March.

Slipknot are set to headline this year’s Download Festival, which takes place from 12th to 14th June at Donington Park.
