Slowdive replace Chromeo at Roskilde

The Canadian funksters’ European dates are pulled for ‘personal reasons’.

Looks like Pilton Farm isn’t the only place going without Canadian funksters Chromeo this summer.

After it was announced yesterday that Scottish rockers Twin Atlantic were to step in to replace them on the John Peel Stage on Saturday at Glastonbury, Danish festival Roskilde has issued a statement regarding their slot there.

“Unfortunately,” they explain, “Chromeo won’t be able to play their concert at the festival. Instead we present British band Slowdive.”

They continue, “Chromeo unfortunately have to cancel their entire European tour. This includes their concert at Roskilde Festival. The band has informed us that the cancellation is due to personal reasons.”

Roskilde takes place between 29th June and 6th July, and features appearances from Arctic Monkeys, Bastille, Sleigh Bells, Warpaint and loads more.

Chromeo were also due to play Coca-Cola Summer Festival in Rome.
