Songhoy Blues announce debut album, ‘Music In Exile’
Yeah Yeah Yeahs’ Nick Zinner has co-produced the album - watch the ‘Al Hassidi Terei’ video.
Mali’s Songhoy Blues have announced details of their debut album, ‘Music In Exile’.
Out 23rd February 2015 on Transgressive, their first work is co-produced by Yeah Yeah Yeahs’ Nick Zinner and Marc-Antoine Moreau. The latter discovered the band in 2013 when scouting on behalf of Africa Express - Songhoy Blues later contributed a track to the Africa Express album, ‘Maison des Jeunes’.
A new video for ‘Al Hassidi Terei’ is airing below. Next month Songhoy Blues support Damon Albarn at London’s Royal Albert Hall. They also play a headline gig at London Oslo on 2nd February 2015.
