Songhoy Blues confirm 2015 UK tour dates
Mali group’s Nick Zinner-produced new album is due out next year.
Next year sees the release of Gao, Mali group Songhoy Blues’ debut album, ‘Music in Exile’, out 23rd February on Transgressive Records.
Having just supported Damon Albarn at London’s Royal Albert Hall, the group have scheduled in a UK tour for 2015. They’ll also support Julian Casablancas + The Voidz on forthcoming European dates this year.
‘Music in Exile’ is produced by Nick Zinner, following their involvement in the most recent Africa Express album via their track ‘Maison des Jeunes’.
Richard Russell (XL Recordings boss) has also remixed ‘Al Hassidi Terei’ as part of his new project, Residence La Revolution.
