SOPHIE reveals ‘Just Like We Never Said Goodbye’

Fresh off the back of announcing his brand new range of bespoke butt-plugs (a sentence we bet you didn’t expect to read on a Thursday afternoon) SOPHIE has released new song ‘Just Like We Never Said Goodbye’. Along with ‘MSMSMSM,’ it’s the PC Music affiliated producer’s first release since ‘Hard’ / ‘Lemonade,’ and his Hey QT collaboration with A.G. Cook.

Sounding a bit like a pingers-fuelled reincarnation of Danish eurodance sensations Aqua, by SOPHIE’s standards, this is a ballad. “We were young, and out of control, I hadn’t seen you since I was about..umm..16 years old,” starts the song. The ‘drop’ might never come, but as heavily-synthesised odes to picking up friendships right where they left off years ago go, this one does the trick.

‘Just Like We Never Said Goodbye’ appears on SOPHIE’S upcoming release ‘Product’, an eight-track release being backed by silicon products - including butt plugs and high heels. That’s out on November 27th.
