Eerie new cut appears alongside Semi Precious and Matagot on a new release.

South London producer Bunki debuts ‘Ravel’, taken from new NX Records compilation

This autumn, South London label NX Records is bringing out a new compilation showcasing talent from Goldsmiths University and Accidental Records. It’s also hosting exclusive in-stores and pop-up shops to link up with ‘Crossing Lines II’, a 12-track release that comes out 17th November.

A couple of familiar names crop up on the compilation. Semi Precious is getting more How to Dress Well comparisons by the day, while These Ghosts - a feature on NX Records’ debut compilation - also contribute a track.

It’s left to a new name to steal the show, though. Bunki is a curious new producer using eerie electronics to his advantage. New song ‘Ravel’ - premiering on DIY - sounds like a siren or a warning. It steps out as a source of tension, gradually unfolding in ominous form. It’s not dissimilar to an instrumental on Thom Yorke’s recent BitTorrent friendly LP.

DIY’s got the first play of ‘Ravel’ below.

From 18th to 22nd November, NX Records is opening a pop-up shop with exclusive vinyl, in-store performances, talks and discussions. For more details, head here.

1. Semi Precious - No More Casting Spells
2. Matagot – Britney
3. Edward A Guy - Connecting Dots
4. Waresnare feat Shanaz - Weeds
5. Leiik - Words Over Yours

7. Bunki – Ravel
