Spector share ‘Half Life’ video
Frontman Fred Macpherson takes an emotional taxi ride through East London in the brand new visuals.
We’ve all had those nights that end with an emotional Uber journey home, often accompanied by staring out the window having a slight crisis while watching the world go by. It’s this exact feeling that Spector are channelling in the brand new vid for ‘Half Life’.
All about “the worry that you’re losing touch with people, places, culture, no longer recognising yourself in the mirror, the constant tick of the clock in the background. It’s about wondering how much time you have left,” the new vid sees frontman Fred Macpherson watching life go by from the back of a taxi driving through East London.
“Our last two videos were filmed in Shanghai and Morocco so it’s quite reassuring to know you can still make some magic just driving up and down Brick Lane a few times,” he says. “To me it’s like David Cronenberg’s Cosmopolis on an Uber pool budget. It just so happened my fellow passengers were a camera crew. Shout out Callum the director who managed to work out what the song was about quicker than we had too. The grass is always greener on the other side of the glass.”
