Ireland might not be the first place you’d look for the future of hip-hop, but then Rejjie Snow defies expectations at every turn. The star of New Originals episode one, which you can view below, his is a story like no other.
From his humble roots in Dublin, Rejjie Snow has carved his own route to success, selling out London’s Scala and subsequently announcing a Shepherd’s Bush Empire date without ever bowing to the mainstream or even releasing an album. From working with Kaytranada and getting co-signed by Skepta, to supporting everyone from MF Doom to Madonna, his belief in individuality and flexibility shot him straight to the top of the iTunes hip-hop charts - above Kanye West and J Cole - with his debut EP ‘Rejovich’.
Looking to his next steps, New Originals episode one follows Rejjie Snow as he returns to his hometown and his loving grandmother, all while reeling from that all-important Scala headline show.
