St. Vincent discusses David Bowie in talk at Chicago’s Museum Of Contemporary Art
The museum has hosted a Bowie-centric exhibition since September.

St. Vincent has taken part in a talk about David Bowie’s influence on her career at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago.
The talk was one of a series of conversations surrounding the museum’s exhibition, David Bowie Is, which closed yesterday (4th Jan). The exhibition showcased over 300 items of Bowie memorabilia from his personal archives.
In Annie Clark’s chat at the museum, she discussed Bowie’s showmanship and how it affected and influenced her own career, talking about the (often disastrous) outfits she wore at some of her first gigs as St. Vincent.
St. Vincent topped The DIY List 2014, our rundown of the artists that defined the past twelve months.
Watch videos of the talk below, alongside a post from David Bowie’s official Facebook page which includes a short message from Clark, calling Bowie a “hero, icon, alien”.
