Stella Donnelly is set to release her debut album via Secretly Canadian next year, and will take it on a full band UK and European tour next year!

The dates begin in Berlin next April, and include a big ol’ London show at Scala, where the tour finishes on 7th May.

The Perth singer’s debut album will follow her recent ‘Thrush Metal’ EP. We spoke to Stella all about the EP and her plans for the album in a recent interview, as she headed up Sound Of The Down Under-ground, our profile of the fertile young Australian scene.

“A lot of people come to my gigs and expect it to be quite sad and serious,” she told us. “And that’s fair enough, because the EP has a tiny bit of fun in there but it’s mostly just misery,” she deadpans. “I try and keep it light when I perform. Make people laugh a bit, get them vulnerable, and then hit them with some heavy shit. And then I make them laugh again so they forget it ever happened.”
