Hooray! Sunflower Bean reveal new track ‘I Was A Fool’, announce UK tour for 2018
They’re baaaaack
Ahead of dates supporting Wolf Alice on their mega exciting Academy tour this month, New Yorkers Sunflower Bean have announced their own return with gauzy new track ‘I Was A Fool’ and a string of headline dates for next year.
Returning after 2016’s stand out debut ‘Human Ceremony’, the heady track marks the band’s first new material since the record and their first material on cult label Lucky Number (the home to Dream Wife, Hinds and more).
“‘I Was A Fool’ is one of those songs that seemingly crept up from nowhere and into our practice space. It was a special moment between the three of us, Julia and I both improvised the lyrics,” says guitarist Nick Kivlen of the track. “It feels like far longer, but it’s been nearly 2 years since we’ve put new music into the world. I think this song is a good example of how we’ve grown as a band, while still staying true to the band that first played together back in high school.”
Sunflower Bean will also be heading out on their biggest UK headline shows to date in March and April. See below for a full list.
