Every weekday, DIY’s new music know-it-all Neu brings you one essential new release to get obsessed with. Today’s Neu Pick comes from Superego.

Midlands four-piece Superego are playing the next edition of DIY’s Big Indie Big Nights series at the Two Tribes Brewery in London’s Tileyard Studios next week (13th June), and have shared a new track in advance.

‘Sleep’ is a creepy, dark slice of alt-rock, bringing the blackened take on the genre, perfected by US bands such as NOTHING and Citizen, to this side of the Atlantic.

Helmed by the hazy, whirlwind vocals of Cam Potts, the track is a hammerblow, as heavy as it is melodic.

Superego play the third edition of our Big Indie Big Nights series, following Factory Seconds and Para Alta in heading to Two Tribes.

Grab free tickets to the show next Wednesday (13th June) while they last here, and listen to ‘Sleep’ below.
