Para Alta bring sweeping indie bangers to Big Indie Big Nights
They’re the second band to feature in our new monthly live series!
As you should already know by now, DIY have been teaming up with record label Big Indie for a new monthly night - entitled, appropriately, Big Indie Big Nights - featuring a whole crop of emerging bands that we’re very excited about indeed.
Taking place monthly at Two Tribes Brewery, a new venue nestled in Kings Cross’ Tileyard Studios (v close to DIY HQ, FYI), we’ll be bringing you one top notch band a month, in a lovely beery space, for the grand old price of free.
After Factory Seconds’ sterling kick off last month, May saw Hartlepool indie boys take to the stage for Round Two. Blending Circa Waves-esque soaring guitar hooks with shimmering, sun-dappled nuances, the band’s played a short and snappy set of earworms, including new single ‘Dusk’ - released via Big Indie that day.
A lilting, summer banger made for soundtracking sunset holiday romances, it was the peak in a set that also included anthemic oldies ‘Home To You’ and ‘Feel It’.
Next up in our series are fuzzy Midlanders Superego, who’ll be heading to Two Tribes on June 13th. Want to catch them (and trust us, you do)? Then, just sign up for free tickets riiiiiiight HERE.
