Surfer Blood share totally bonkers new video for ‘Grand Inquisitor’

The bizarre visual tells the tale of a man who gets talent-spotted while playing the lute in a carpark.

Surfer Blood have shared the new visual accompaniment for ‘Grand Inquisitor’. The song’s taken from the band’s third album ‘1000 Palms,’ which came out back in May. The video in question? Absolutely raving bonkers.

With a glitchy, warped aesthetic that sits somewhere between cult Youtube sensation ‘You’re A Wizard Harry,’ and Kanye West’s motorbike-bourne video for ‘Bound 2,’ ‘Grand Inquisitor’ tells the tale of a humble lute player who gets spotted by an A&R scout in a McDonalds carpark. He ends up partying irresponsibly with a man with inordinately small sunglasses, he’s very, very sick into a swimming pool, and the video finishes with him serenading a tiny, dancing mouse-sized man, on a beach, which then morphs into space.

Following? No? Us neither. Watch the video in question below.
