Merrrrrry Christmas!
It’s a Christmas miracle! Run The Jewels unleash ‘RTJ3’!
Despite billing its release date as 13th January, the duo have offered up their new album a little early.
2016 has been a funny ol’ year and, even though it might be drawing to a close, it hasn’t given up on offering a few last surprises: Run The Jewels have released their new album!
Despite being billed for release on 13th January, it seems as though Killer Mike and El-P just couldn’t wait any longer and, as a very special Christmas present, have officially released ‘LP3’ on Christmas Day 2016.
So, once you’ve finished stuffing yourself with turkey and the grandparents have fallen asleep watching the Strictly… special on telly, you know what to do: get your butt over to runthejewels.com where you can stream and download the duo’s third album for free. It’s almost certainly going to be one of the year’s most important records, after all.
That’s not all. The pair have also given fans an insight into one of their very own planning meetings, which just happens to feature, er, Portlandia’s Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein. What are the chances, huh?
Check out the video of their pitch meeting - which includes talk of faking deaths and a rather large pill - below.
‘RTJ3’ is out now, features appearances from the likes of Danny Brown, Kamasi Washington and Boots, and physical copies are set to be sent out on 13th January.
