Taylor Swift reveals new album ‘The Life Of A Showgirl’ on NFL podcast New Heights
The megastar appears alongside her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, on the episode preview.
This is not a drill - another Taylor Swift album is on the way. Entitled ‘The Life Of A Showgirl’, it will be the global phenomenon’s twelfth studio record, acting as a follow up to last year’s 31-track double LP ‘THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT’: THE ANTHOLOGY’.
It may only be a mere eight months since the end of her epic Eras Tour (which saw her play 149 shows across five continents, making it the highest-grossing tour of all time), but Taylor clearly hasn’t been resting on her laurels. She’s set to appear on the latest episode of NFL podcast New Heights - which is hosted by her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, and his brother Jason Kelce - tomorrow (Wednesday 13th August), but confirmed news of the new album in a preview clip posted at 00:12ET today (05:12 BST).
“Posted at 12:12 on the 12th,” the clip’s caption reads. “Tay’s 12th album is called……. pre pre-order now at TaylorSwift.com”. In the video, Taylor sits alongside Travis holding a mint green briefcase monogrammed with the initials ‘TS’, before opening it to pull out a vinyl pressing of ‘The Life Of A Showgirl’ with its cover blurred out (booo!).
More details - including when the record will hit shelves - are yet to be confirmed, but fans have been told that those who pre-order the album will have it shipped before 13th October (which is apparently “not the release date”).
