“I’ll follow you to places I don’t want to go,” smoulders ‘Turning into You’ - a fizzling, pared back slice of highly crafted minimalism. Following on from the South Londoners’ debut single ‘Lies,’ the b-side takes a more yearning, restrained tact; trading in slamming horn parps for delicate plucked melodies, and the occasional scattered jazz lick. Delving into the darkness of a poisonous relationship that sees both parties become less than savoury - and very alike - it’s the rich, flawless vocal harmonies that steal the show. This pair know what they’re doing.
