The 1975 to release ‘Me & You Together Song’ next week

Our next glimpse into ‘Notes On A Conditional Form’ will arrive on 16th January.

Woohoo! Your boys Matty, George, Adam and Ross are back! (Well, nearly)

Following the release of ‘Frail State Of Mind’ back in October, The 1975 will be giving us our latest taste into upcoming record ‘Notes On A Conditional Form’ in the form of new track ‘Me & You Together Song’, which will be Annie Mac’s Hottest Record In The World on Radio One on 16th January.

“It’s kind of me as a teenager; it’s about idealism in relationships and trying to capture what I thought about Amy Watson or Chelsea Pollard,” Matty told us about the song, which was originally penned for a film soundtrack, during our November cover interview. “And there are funny lines in it. When I write about relationships, I find it quite hard to be soppy so my sincerity comes from gags. ‘I had a dream where we had kids / You would cook, I’d do the nappies / We went to Winter Wonderland/ It was shit but we were happy’. Which is my way of saying I actually love you quite a lot.”

Check back here on 16th when we’ll all likely be freaking out, before the full freak out comes on 24th April once the new album lands. Can’t. Wait.
