Last month Cali punks The Bronx announced their long-awaited return, revealing that their new album ‘V’ would be out on 22nd September via Cooking Vinyl/ ATO.
Coinciding with the announcement, they shared the blistering, face-melting ‘Sore Throat’ and a statement from guitarist Joby J. Ford: “It has the angst and social commentary that has characterized The Bronx from the beginning, only now the angst is aimed at more than just superficial things and the social commentary is directed at more than just people who like different music than us”.
Now they’ve lifted the lid on yet another new cut from the LP. ‘Two Birds’ is another full-throttle burst of guitars, with a very slightly psych-rock edge in the mix. As reported by Stereogum, singer Matt Caughthran said: “‘Two Birds’ is an ode to terrible lovers. Flaming space trash re-entering the atmosphere and organising on impact. Desperate times call for desperate pleasures”.
