The Cribs to make live return with one-off London date

They play Camden’s Electric Ballroom next February.

The Cribs have announced plans to make their long-awaited live return at London’s Electric Ballroom next year.

With a new album anticipated for 2015, the band play on 16th February.

Their sixth studio album has a provisional release date of spring 2015, out via Sony RED in the UK, French Kiss Records in North America.

The band’s previous release was a mini best-of, ‘Payola’, and their previous studio album was ‘In the Belly of the Brazen Bull’.

This summer saw the group playing Truck Festival and Sheffield’s Tramlines - aside from that, they’ve been in the studio.

They’re working with Ric Ocasek, of The Cars (the man behind Weezer’s ‘Blue’ and ‘Green’ albums. Recently, Ryan Jarman told NME: “He doesn’t do records like a gun for hire; he chooses a band. We’ve been trying to get him since the third record, now he thinks we’re definitely good enough.”
