The Curious Incident bring the summer vibes with ‘Got Ya’

“The Curious Incident tastes like the spice of hot sauce and the nice of lemonade and makes your troubles melt away”. Well, that sounds like quite a delicious combination. Kairo and Diaz – better known as The Curious Incident – are a pair intent on bringing the summer vibes with their work. They even teamed up with The Ice Cream Union to make their own brand of passionfruit and coconut ice cream. Yes, really.

As winter sets in around the northern hemisphere, now seems like an ideal time to beckon their summery sound in order to blast away some of those chills. Their latest single ‘Got Ya’ is nothing short of a pure blast of vitamin D, echoing some of the most upbeat moments of Vampire Weekend and Two Door Cinema Club. It’s a track jam-packed with jangly guitar riffs, fluttering synth flourishes and pacey rhythms. They describe their sound as being “indie with a Caribbean twist”. Well, listening to this is enough to make you imagine you’re on a tropical paradise.
